When I posted that last story page on May 14, 2013, I said, "Coming soon: the beginning of Laser Brigade Book Three!" When I said "soon," I really did think I would resume posting in a few weeks, maybe a couple of months at most, but instead it was three years. What happened?

Well, for one thing I got really burnt out by the process of making Laser Brigade Book 2: Tales of the Laser Brigade, which is on sale now, and you should get a copy if you haven't, because, as I just said, it was a stressful process, getting that book ready.

For another thing, with episode 185, I resumed drawing my web comic Fuzzball & Scuzzball, and I didn't have time to draw two weekly web comics, so I stuck with F&S for a few years. It's still going, and has had a good run--I really pushed myself and I'm proud of the work I've done. The newest episode, as I write this, is number 312.

I also launched a more ambitious web comic project called The Electric Team, written by me and my daughter Abby, and drawn by the amazing Sam Albert. That's been time-consuming, but extremely personally rewarding OMG go check it out right now.

And, along with Matt "Vortex Guardian" Kish and Joe Kuth, I launched the Seeing Calvino tumblr, at www.seeingcalvino.tumblr.com (for some reason I can't get the link to work, sorry, copy and paste it into your browser), which I have been contributing to for a few years now. Between the three of us we illustrated each city from Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities, and then each story from The Complete Cosmicomics.

But now I've only got a couple more stories to illustrate for Seeing Calvino, and Fuzzball & Scuzzball is wrapping up (I'm finishing up the Epilogue now, the whole thing will be done in a little over a month), and sure I've got a dozen other projects in the works, but I'm excited about returning to the Laser Brigade. So let's go!
